Yogi Botanicals International Development Foundation is seeking to broaden its partnership with organic producers around the globe and to impart its vast experience to help create a better life for indigenous farmers and bring certified organic products to the international market.
Yogi Botanicals is also seeking to enter into partnership with non-profit or government entities to expand the scope of its community support services and the professional development assistance it is currently providing to local farmers around the world.
YBI is working with JAS, EU, NOP using Organizational fair trade polices. Also, we have taken initiatives for providing education and development of families of villagers working under our different projects. We also encourage local city and State Government policies to contribute and join YBI initiatives to meet local populations demand. We are hoping to become an integrated part of forming communities and being remember as firmed and fair parties in their commercial and social fabric.
The Yogi Botanicals International Story
Yogi Botanicals International was inspired by the dramatic success of Yogi Tea. Yogi Botanicals was created in 1996 to provide a trusted supply source for Yogi Tea’s ever increasing demand for certified organic raw materials while at the same time staying committed to its mission of global sustainability and community development.
Yogi Botanicals International is a for-profit company dedicated to a non-profit mission to support sustainability around the globe. Yogi Botanicals International believes that the “for-benefit corporation” is the cutting edge method of bringing lasting assistance to vulnerable communities through a self sustaining process that is independent of outside funding.
In the 11 years since its inception, this “fourth sector” model has proven extremely effective (even in comparison to non-profits engaging in the same development efforts) in providing depressed communities with the tools and markets necessary to compete on a global scale.

Due to its current penetration into isolated and remote farming communities, Yogi Botanicals is uniquely strategically positioned to provide much needed community assistance in those areas. For example, YB works with 47 farming families in Ghana. YB is providing continuing expertise to local farmers on how to conduct their small business in accordance with emerging trends in the organic spice market. In addition, YB has created community support infrastructures designated to train young environmentally conscious business leaders of tomorrow. Yogi Botanicals is currently educating indigenous populations about the benefits of sustainable organic farming and guiding them through the organic certification process at no cost.
